- Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I change?
White Frog training programmes afford companies the opportunity and benefits of utilising world-class materials that are fully aligned to market best practice and internationally recognised Building Information Modelling (BIM) protocols and standards.
Will the distributor or White Frog compete with me, the ATC?
No is the simple answer, we are all about supporting you in the delivery, we wish you to remain in total control of your clients. As a result all of our programs are developed to support trainers in the delivery of professional learning to their students. Each program comprises of two main components, a trainer (lecturer) pack and a delegate (student) pack.
For ATC's it is extremely important to ensure that all your trainers provide quality controlled instruction that surpasses industry level standards, and at the same time removes any risk associated to non conformance to perceived training requirements.
How is this different?
White Frog courseware is modular and task based, not feature and functionality based. Every lecture and exercise is aligned to existing industry recognised protocols and best practice. We know that everyone is different so an A to Z approach does not work for everyone.
Concise courseware is a vital aspect of any learning experience and all White Frog training material is produced to the highest quality to ensure a thorough understanding of the topics in relation to real-world usage and established best practice.
The techniques and methodologies discussed within the modules are constantly adapted and updated to keep pace with the latest developments in the software and the workplace, with advice often devised and revised in the process of working alongside some of the largest design and construction companies in the world.
What does that mean to the employer?
Employers tell us that upon completion of their staff training, they can confidently place new team members onto projects as they understand real world situations and are able to solve problems.
How does the cost compare?
All our programmes are competitively priced to ensure ATC's and corporate clients receive the best cost for value possible.
Why should I provide clients with the facility to train themselves?
A subscription to White Frog provides the basis of a long-term corporate training strategy for the entire workforce across different offices and even countries. No ATC can possibly fulfil all the short-term training requirements a company has, this may be one person on a single module tomorrow, simply not viable for ATC's to do. This way the company can provide this urgent module and arrange for follow-up training. Inevitably experience proves that companies simply don't have dedicated staff sitting around waiting to provide training, they are too busy a resource to use on a regular basis, they always look to their ATC for this training.
If I sell this material into a corporate account, do I not just lose future training business?
Experience has shown that clients want to know that there is a strategy to staff training and not simply putting everyone through the A to Z scenario. Companies want to know that they can take their training in a number of ways from full day attendance in classrooms, to CPD type sessions, in-house modules on project specific items, through consultancy training days, project assistance days, to self paced elearning courses. We provide ATC's with resources to suit every need.
How is it sold to commercial practices?
Commercial practices take advantage of an annual subscription to the White Frog material to optimize the flexibility of training delivery to staff across different centres and even continents. This flexibility starts with utilising the resources to train in-house to suit urgent project needs or individual requirements, should the circumstances demand, knowing that consistency is maintained through a common curriculum.
Use White Frog resources and leverage your branding - we recognise that Corporate brand and market position are important – we all spend time and effort obtaining and maintaining a reputation for reliability and quality amongst our customers, existing and potential, we guarantee to support and elevate your brand.

What products are available?
White Frog will continue to add products to its existing range of programmes. Current programs include the 2014 versions of the Revit suite (Architecture, Structure, MEP and LT), AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3dsMax. Under development for 2013 is Civil3D and Inventor.
What formats is the material available?
We have a number of exciting new products, these include: Traditional trainer packs that contains powerpoint slideshows, trainer notes in pdf, videos and datasets; hard copy delegate manuals; electronic reader access to delegate manuals (eReader) over the web; eBooks are our animated interactive versions of the delegate manuals; eTeach is our self paced elearning courses.
Who is using the material?
Leading distributors, ATC's, resellers, universities, colleges, professional training companies and corporate clients involved in the AEC space and BIM from around the world. We produce metric and imperial versions of our resources.
Is the material suitable to sit Autodesk certification?
Yes, all our courses provide instruction that meets the current certification guidelines from Autodesk. One ATC is quoted on our website as having 100% certification pass mark.
So what's different from other training material?
The concept is fairly simple and extremely flexible. Each module is a self-contained unit, with notes accompanying the lectures and with hands-on scripted exercises to reinforce many of the theoretical lessons, helping the student through the training course and beyond into working practice.
What did we consider, we took our own training experiences and coupled this with how adult learners interact with training and the result was:
- Task-based modules are compiled around a foundation of industry best practice and protocols
- Student notes are produced to a high quality and aesthetic appeal
- Trainer (lecturer) notes, slideshows, demo datasets and videos provide a wealth of background material to assist the lecturer in the delivery of the course
- Module descriptions and recommended time-frames help to define the agenda for bespoke learning and set a clear expectation of topics covered and depth of coverage
- Consistent messaging between disciplines for better collaborative working
- Modules cover a wide range of topics to allow for ever-increasing specialisation
- A strong focus on interoperability between software applications and practical advice on workflow
- Break down the existing strict categorising of topics of Basic, Intermediate and Advanced – one persons essential topics can be irrelevant to someone else and what is basic to some is advanced to others
- Position the product in the BIM ecosystem and incorporate the ethos of BIM from the very beginning
- Add train the trainer hints and tips for those new to training
What is the biggest benefit?
To both the ATC and the corporate client it must be consistency of message. It cannot be stressed enough how damaging this lack of consistency in the delivery of BIM centric, product training is hurting large international organisations. Together we can remove the bulk of these inconsistencies and provide them peace of mind that all their training needs can be supplied in a location, at a time and in a format to suit them, the project and their staff.
Is there any support or helpdesk available?
We are always available to help our partners with conference calls and email support. Of course we also welcome your feedback and help to improve our courseware and resources, be this new products, new modules or language versions, we always welcome input.
What is the route to market?
White Frog work with a distributor in your region and all commercial enquiries should be directed accordingly to them. White Frog, Distributor, ATC to end client. At all times we wish for you to grow your relationship with your client.
How do we stop clients from going direct to the White Frog website?
Whilst we can't stop them doing this we can provide a financial incentive or pricing option (lower price) for them that makes it more viable for them to work with their incumbent ATC, through the correct channel.
How do we begin?
Contact your account manager at your distributor, they will have all the pricing and information you require to get you up and running.
